  1. Washing your hair too infrequently 

Rumor has it that washing your hair infrequently helps reduce sebum production and makes your hair oily less quickly. Dermatologists advise against this technique because the oils produced on the scalp provide an ideal breeding ground for fungi that live on the head. These can then multiply and cause serious infections. It is, therefore, necessary to wash your hair regularly, at least once or twice a week, to get rid of excess sebum.

  1. Not hydrating the hair

If the hair is not sufficiently hydrated, it becomes dry, dull, and brittle. It is for this reason that hairdressers recommend doing a mask, at least once every two weeks, with moisturizing ingredients to keep hair shiny and smooth.

Most people brush their hair from roots to lengths to ends. Knots are therefore pulled from top to bottom where they can cause split ends. It is better to start at the ends, then gradually move from the lengths to the roots. In this way, the small knots are undone directly and do not become huge when reaching the ends.
